The lines we represent are complimentary, allowing us to offer a variety of related products to OEM’s, large users and system integrators.MOTION & CONTROL SPECIALISTS Northstar Motion & Control specializes in applications where velocity and or position are critical. Our experience and expertise in these areas has built Northstar a reputation for tackling the most demanding applications.TRACK A LEAD We believe that a professional representative organization should take full advantage of a principal’s willingness to expend funds for advertising and news releases. We therefore established a telemarketing group in 1985 called Track-A-Lead. The staff is college students who work from their own phone part-time. They sort the wheat from the chaff so that our field sales staff spends 90% of their time with real prospects.Track-A-Lead is only one of our commitments to responding to customer inquiries. Phone, fax, and e-mail inquiries transmitted to us receive a response within 24 hours. MARKET SIZE According to the US department of Commerce, the territory we service represents approximately a 2% share of the US Industrial market. For NORTHSTAR’S principals however, this territory represents an average of 4% to 6% share of their national sales. Obviously, niche products may yield significantly higher and/or lower results.COMMUNICATION Communication with customers is crucial! In order to facilitate communication with our customers and prospects outside of the local toll free calling area, we added an 800 number about 10 years ago. As a result, we’ve seen a measurable increase in the number of customers and prospects who respond to our voice-mail messages.
At Northstar, we understand our customers dislike for answering machines and find them too impersonal. When out of the office we use an answering service so you can speak to a real person. They can always reach us!
The new millennium brings new challenges and Northstar Motion & Control is ready to meet them head on. Last year we broadened our market base and expanded onto the Internet. We are not your usual representative organization. We concentrate on marketing first so we can sell smart and efficiently. This is who we are, what we do and the way we do it. Interested?
